Season 11 is Mike Scully's third season as showrunner. Maggie Roswell, a regular voice actress who voices characters such as Maude Flanders, Ms. Hoover and Helen Lovejoy, left the show over a contract dispute before the start of the season. Her characters were voiced by Marcia Mitzman Gaven instead, but the character of Maude Flanders, who was the primary character Roswell voiced, was killed off this season, and I hesitate to determine the reasons for that.
This is the season that contains my personal "jump the shark" moment of the series. Based on my previous paragraph, you can probably guess which episode that is. With a couple of outliers on both sides, most episodes this season ranged from "good" down to "mediocre", with only a couple of really good episodes mixed with a couple of really bad episodes. I suppose I should expect this amount of quality from here on.
